LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort — Day 1 — Adventures at the Hotel

It has been over two years since I last visited LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort. Several new buildings have sprouted around the it as it receives a new coat of paint, a part of its ongoing — and slow going — refurbishment plan.

Inside, the hotel did not give away its age easily. Much thought has been put into making it look fresh while staying the same. The LEGO bricks in the lobby and the giant rubber LEGO bricks in the play area in front of the Bricks Family Restaurant are back.

Those giant rubber LEGO bricks are a lot of fun. Kids naturally build fortresses out of them. I wish they would sell them at LEGOLAND; kindergarteners would love them.

Check-in was at 4 pm, and the process was effortless. As a part of the welcome pack, I was handed this season’s lobby entertainment programme. The list of activities spans the whole day with arts and crafts for kids to explore their creativity, to dances and shows to tire them out for bed. There are costumed character appearances, too.

The last time I was here, I was assigned a Pirate-themed room. This time, I get to pick and choose the Adventure-themed room instead.

Almost everything in the room looks pristine, even more so than the room I stayed in before. But, the actual age of the room can be discerned if looked at closely, just like the rest of the hotel.

The room — the most affordable the hotel has to offer — is split into two and fits five. The parent’s section has the better TV, but the kids get the firm — and arguably more comfortable — bunk bed.

Despite the excellent towels and toiletries, the room’s best feature must be the drinkable filtered water on tap at the children’s sink. Staying hydrated is vital during these hot spells, and the generosity of LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Hotel is appreciated. So bring a water bottle during your stay.

This is one of the many posts I plan to make about my experience at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Hotel. I stayed there for two nights, from 2024-04-19 to 2024-04-21.
