LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort — Day 1 — Deliciously Fun Time at Di Mattoni

Once I saw that Di Mattoni was open, the question was, would I have pasta or pizza for dinner tonight?

The last time I was in LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Hotel, over two years ago, the doors to this signature Italian restaurant were still closed because of the pandemic. But a little over a year ago, it opened again.

Compared to the rest of the hotel, Di Mattoni looks plain. It is not as thematic as Kai’s Sushi Bar nor as informal as the Bricks Family Restaurant, but it has its charm and caters mainly to adults, though kids are still welcome.

For starters, I ordered the Zuppa Speciale Del Giogno (the daily special from the chef, which turns out to be onion soup).

For the main course, a Linguini Aglio olio e funghi (garlic oil pasta with mushrooms and seafood).

The soup and pasta were delicious and worth their price tag. The soup came with mouth-watering toasted garlic bread, and the pasta was not served in a pool of oil like so many lousy aglio olio. It also came with a generous portion of seafood.

It was a nice change to the buffet I am used to at the Bricks Family Restaurant. I highly recommend it.

This is one of the many posts I plan to make about my experience at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Hotel. My stay lasted for two nights, from 2024-04-19 to 2024-04-21.
